Gym Tips for a Beauty Junkie

So, what happens when you combine a gym junkie AND a beauty junkie?
Now, before you start picturing rows of sweat streaming down a caked-up face on a treadmill, you should probably continue reading first. :P
Whilst I do not advocate painting your face prior to a gym session, neither could I be bothered spending an extra 5 minutes trying to remove an entire face of make up prior to my gym classes, after work.
What to do? What to do? What to do?
The two tips that I live by :
#1 Always make sure that your eye make up is gym-proof.
#2 Have a packet of make up remover wipes handy in your gym bag.
Face wipes/ make up remover wipes - This one is a Mr. Captain Obvious here. Girls being girls, we all want to look our best 24/7 (if possible). But really, think of what a barrier your face products (such as primer, foundation, blush, bronzer…) will create, and how it prevents your body wastage from being excreted through your pores. So, ALWAYS remove your face products before hitting your favourite class!
The last thing you want to look like while lifting those weights or doing jump squats is to look like a fist has just landed on your eye. Hence, gym-proof eye make up is crucial in preventing said situation from happening.
Gym-proof eye make up –In my dictionary, gym-proof eye make up consist of a good eyeshadow primer and waterproof eye products. So, that includes waterproof eyeliner, eyeshadows, eyebrow pencil and mascara! My all-time-favourite combination and 100% tested by yours truly is Milani Liquif’eye Metalic Eyeliner Pencil in Black and setting it with the black eyeshadow from NVEY Eco Eyeshadow Palette.
That pretty much sums up how I survived my gyming sessions while looking somewhat presentable without clogging my pores/ prevent any natural excretion process from happening. Easy peasy – no rocket science here!
